Out of Character Characters

Mainly due to the movies, but also to some fic writers and other forms of non-canon other characters have been treated to the same false images as Ron.

Hermione-  has gone from Harry's other best friend to a perfect goddess of truth and wisdom.   It seems as though everyone loves her, and this is due largely to the movies.

Neville- although not nearly as widespread as the Hermione and Ron distortions there are those who believe Neville the be next Peter Pettigrew.  Maline Freden of Mugglenet dealt with this quite well here .

Snape- Due mainly to the attractiveness of Alan Rickman, Snape has also risen to Out of Canon greatness.

Malfoy- Also due to the attractiveness of Tom Felton, many feel that Malfoy is simply a "misunderstood" person who will "see the light" in the end.  Evidence of this pervading the fanon can be seen in fics.
